The Excel Importer is a nice feature in the IDEA AddOn for Sparx Enterprise Architect. The importer is handy when you have a CMDB like TopDesk or Ultimo and from there you can export an excel sheet with ICT landscape and import this on a regularly base to Sparx Enterprise Architect.

It gives you the opportunity to import an excel sheet and transform the content to:

• Transform columns to ArchiMate Elements and Relationships
• Transform columns to tagged values
• Transform columns to element properties
• Add Linked Files to an element based on a hyperlink for example to a CMDB webpage.
